Short Term Orientation and Arrival
Hello from Pearl River, NY!
It's been an intense two days of orientation, but the today sure went by fast! I landed in Newark, NJ yesterday around 8am and got to AIM headquarters in New York around 9am. It's so nice here! (The AIM headquarters used to be a spa location, so everything just feels really relaxing :] )
I finally got to meet my wonderful team (Virginia, Christine, Janelle, Bethany and Kelly) and getting to know them has been so much fun, so thank you for your prayers! We found out that there are two more girls joining us, so now our team consists of six girls! All of the staff here at AIM have been amazing and its been great getting to put faces to the many e-mail threads we have sent back and forth. I can tell that everyone here is so passionate about Christ and excited to be a part of God's plan in sending people out to share His love with all the people of Africa.
In these past two days we were also able to get to know some of the other short-termers going go Kenya in August. And it's been awesome and so encouraging to see how God has called each one of us in a different way.
There is so much more I want to write about, but my team is getting ready to start our long trip to Uganda tomorrow, so I should probably get some rest :[
Check back tomorrow for one last post from the states!
P.S In case you're wondering why there's a random picture of Russell on my blog, this page was inspired from Pixar's "UP" :D heehee
For His Kingdom,

New York from across the river (p.s. don't laugh at my 3.2 megapixel camera.. you know who you are -__-;; hahaha!)
Pearl River! Traveled two states in one hour :D
I had this SAME EXACT doll house when I was growing up in Iowa, so major flashback! And I saw some other toys that I used to play with too... sooo crazy lol
